Student Life in BPK and Its Events

I did forgot to tell you that I am a 7th grader student who lives in Indonesia, (sorry about that). You might've know now that I visited to Wisma Shalom with my classmates from school ... And YES it was very boring! That is why I only told the "fun part" of the experience as there was much more to do rather than sit in a hall and get lectured by "frightening" teachers.

Well today I would like to tell you the upcoming and past events that happened and will happen in the secondary school - SMPK 1 BPK Penabur

So first of all, let me tell you of today's event which is CNY, although all we did was watch a Chinese movie with our homeroom teacher and ate mandarin oranges ๐ŸŠ, it wasn't as bad as I expected.

After we watched the movie, we did get to watch a little bit of martial arts done by some students.

It was quite a sight!

We also did watch  a dance by the *possibly* "Dance Club" in the school.๐Ÿ’ƒ

In the end, the principal gave a lucky few some red envelopes or  ็บขๅŒ… / hรณng bฤo.๐Ÿฎ

The upcoming event will be the well-known MAKSI which stands for Malam Apresiasi dan Kreativitas Siswa and roughly translates to "Night of Student Appreciation and Creativity". Although I have not experienced it, as I was a freshman in this school and it only happens once every 2 years, I'm sure it would bring lots of fun and enjoyment!

I have been told by some of the 9th graders that it was quite boring, and they hoped it would get better this year...I also knew that one of our teachers - Ma'am Liani made the whole building shout on her as she was a main character on the performance. "Although we didn't get what the main point of the performance was about, the whole show was great!" one student said...

This year's MAKSI will be performed by the choir and the school's orchestra... I hope they will do a wonderful job conveying some of the famous folk songs of Indonesia like "Kicir-Kicir" and "Bungong Jeumpa" as the ticket was quite "expensive"... ๐Ÿ˜‘
